Ms. Holmes served as a national capacity building leader and trainer for faith and community-based nonprofits with the Compassion Capital Fund Initiative. Recently, she was awarded one of the nation’s highest credentials for professional fundraisers, the Grant Professional Certification.
VICE PRESIDENT Gwen Ferguson Membership Committee Chair x United Communities Against Poverty x Gwendolyn Ferguson has over 25 years experience working with non-profits in the areasof management and resource development. Currently, she is the CEO of United Communities Against Poverty, Inc. (UCAP), which is the designated Community Action Agency for Prince George’s County. Ms. Ferguson has held leadership positions on the Homeless Services Partnership and Emergency Food & Shelter Board for Prince George’s County and worked for 18 years in various capacities with the United Way of the National Capital Area. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement and the Foundation for the Advancement of Music & Education (FAME).
