Human Services Coalition
Human Services Coalition of Prince George's County (HSC) is a growing network of organizations,
agencies and individuals working to improve the quality of life for people in need who live in Prince
George's County, Maryland. Collectively, we strive to strengthen nonprofits by advocating for resources,
building capacity of organizations and providing networking and collaboration opportunities.
HSC supports over 100 nonprofit organizations that serve people in communities throughout Prince
George's County. These organizations provide services to the neediest children and families, the homeless,
ex-offenders, low-income seniors, at-risk youth, people with disabilities, and other disadvantaged
and underserved populations. HSC members include public entities, private nonprofits, for-profit partners,
individual supporters.
Over the past four years, HSC has attracted resources that have enabled the organization to launch and
sustain a historic Nonprofit Incubator Program, hire staff and consultants that aid us in carrying out the
advocacy work on behalf of and with our nonprofit members, and complete a five-year strategic plan that
is the roadmap for our resource development plan, governance, and program goals.
The Human Service Coalition of Prince George's County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization officially
established in 2001 and incorporated in 2003. HSC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors with
a full-time executive director, who provides day-to-day management of staff and operations.
